Inventory
The GOVERN inventory is the authoritative record of every AI system your organization operates. It is the foundation of your compliance posture — you cannot govern what you have not inventoried.
Inventory structure
Each inventory record contains:
- System name and description
- Model provider and model version
- Deployment environment
- Risk classification (per EU AI Act tiers)
- Responsible owner
- Policy attachment
- Registration date and last assessed timestamp
- Active status
Keeping inventory current
GOVERN helps you maintain an accurate inventory through:
- Monitoring agents that discover systems automatically
- SDK registration that auto-registers systems when the SDK is initialized
- Manual registration for systems that cannot be automatically discovered
- Periodic reviews — GOVERN flags systems that have not reported assessments in 30 days for review
Exporting inventory
Export the full inventory as CSV or JSON from Inventory → Export. The export includes all system metadata and is suitable for submission to auditors or regulators.
Inventory audit readiness
GOVERN’s inventory view includes an Audit Readiness Score — a completeness check that flags missing fields required for regulatory submissions. Fix highlighted gaps before your next audit.
