Policy Versioning
Every change to a policy creates a new version. GOVERN keeps the full version history of every policy so you can understand exactly which policy was active at the time of any historical assessment.
Viewing policy versions
From the policy detail view, click the History tab to see every version with its author, timestamp, and a diff of what changed.
Rolling back a policy
If a policy change caused unexpected enforcement behavior, you can roll back to any previous version. Click Roll Back on any historical version. The policy immediately reverts to that version’s configuration.
Policy change audit
All policy changes are logged in the main audit trail with the user who made the change, the time, and the nature of the change. This record is immutable.
Assessment-policy binding
Every assessment records the policy ID and version that governed it. This means you can always reconstruct the exact governance logic that was applied to any historical inference, even if the policy has changed since.
